In 2001 the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE, after its initials in Spanish) carried out an external evaluation of the outcomes and impact of the Program. Additionally, as a part of an external evaluation Agreement, the National Institute of Public Health (INSP, after its initials in Spanish) appointed researchers of the CIESAS to qualitatively assess the Program in semi-urban areas. Those results were presented in late 2001.
